ABOUT US
The Scout and Guide groups of Barton-le-Clay, Bedfordshire have been raising money to build a new combined 'group' Headquarters in the village. The initial idea was conceived over 30 years ago and money is still being raised to enable the Scouts and Guides and the wider community of Barton to benefit from these wonderful new facilities.
There is a lobby leading to a wooden floored hall 10m x 15m (33ft x 50ft), holding up to 100 people depending on the type of function. Tables and chairs are available. The building is fully accessible to the disabled.
There are ample toilets and a shower.
There is an large and well equipped kitchen with a serving hatch into the hall.
There is parking for about 20 cars, and other parking in the vicinity, and an external landscaped field of about 1/2 an acre.
The project has been funded by vigorous fundraising, and the support of a great number of grant giving bodies.
